Did you know that Corvallis is home to roughly 4,000 international students and their families representing over 95 different countries? Engage with the world by volunteering with INTO OSU!
Volunteer opportunities include:
Greeting and guiding during International Student Orientation
Attending social events and/or chaperoning an INTO OSU Trip
Being a conversation partner with our Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program (CACP)
OSU welcomes international students every term. Do you remember your first time on campus?
Responsibilities during orientation may include: greeting students, giving directions, delivering a campus tour, attending an ice-breaker event, and more!
Orientation is one week long in September, December/January, March, and June.
We're looking for students, staff, and faculty, both US and international, to help welcome new INTO OSU students to Beaver Nation!
We are excited to announce the return of in-person events, activities, and trips! To see what is coming up next term, check out our INTO OSU Events website.
If you see something that you'd like to attend or help chaperone, please send an email to [email protected] for more details.
This opportunity is available for both students and community members.
The Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program (CACP) is an opportunity for domestic OSU students to interact with and support OSU's international student community.
This is a great way to internationalize your education at OSU and gain cultural diversity experience here on campus. Cultural Ambassador groups aim to explore our campus and participate in meaningful conversations that help international students practice their English skills and feel a greater sense of connection with the OSU and Corvallis community.
Week 0 - 2: Domestic Conversation Partners complete the CACP Application
Week 3: Receive your match and attend the optional CACP Partner Mixer
Week 4 - 9: Meet with your partner for at least one hour per week!
