Please refer to this web page for information to help you prepare for your studies at Oregon State University. We look forward to meeting you when you arrive on campus.
Start dates/times are listed below. Once Orientation begins, you can expect to be busy with activities every business day leading up to the first day of classes. You should not schedule other appointments during Orientation as most sessions are mandatory to attend.
When you take the free shuttle service to campus a staff member will meet you and assist you in the housing check-in process. If traveling to campus on your own, you can check-in to your room at the following locations.
You must pay your SEVIS I-901 fee before you go to your visa interview.
How to pay your SEVIS fee
Read the instructions on how to set up your ONID account. Your ONID account is your Oregon State Univisersity email and online login. This will get you access to all of Oregon State's online applications such as the on-campus housing application.
Complete your health history form online at the Patient Portal.
If you are unable to email the form before you arrive, please bring a
completed form with you to the US. Download the form.
Visit the OSU Immunization website for immunization requirements.
Read more about the required health insurance. We highly recommend you bring a copy of your immunization documents. If you are currently taking prescribed medications or receiving treatments, please bring your medical documents. The documents need to be in English.
Please be sure to bring the following documents with you on the plane and to the first day of your INTO OSU program:
Please see your confirmation letter for specific outstanding documents you need to bring with you. If you have any questions about why these documents are still needed or what makes them official please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you have not already arranged your housing in Corvallis, then visit the INTO OSU website for information about on-campus accommodation.
Submit your Arrival Info so we know when you'll be traveling to Oregon. Check the dates at the top of this page to learn more about move in days and when greeters will be available at the airport. A free shuttle is offered to new students only. The bus ride is through a company called Oregon Express Shuttle (Groome Transportation) and departs from the shuttle information booth pictured here:
Your free shuttle service can be used for a later departure time if you are delayed. If your flight is delayed and you miss your scheduled shuttle, show your ticket to get on the next shuttle - please do your best to inform us of your delay if possible. A new shuttle leaves from PDX every hour.
When arriving at the Portland International Airport (PDX):
Submit your arrival information at least 72 hours in advance to ensure your Airport Shuttle is reserved. If you aren't interested in the shuttle, or just want a better idea of what the airport is like, than watch the below video featuring Ground Transportation options leaving PDX.
