Setting up Internet Access
Wireless Connections
- Connect wireless devices to eduroam (education roaming) for secure wireless using [email protected] for authentication.
- Connect older devices to OSU_Access for unsecure wireless and register the device.
Wired (Ethernet) Connections
- Follow these steps to connect your computer to ResNet wired ports:
- Plug your computer's Ethernet cable into the orange or green jack in your room.
- Open your web browser (ie. Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari).
- Your browser should automatically redirect to the ResNet Self-Service page.
Food Options
In your room, you will find a black Welcome bag containing a few snacks, a cup of noodles, water, and tea. There are microwaves located in the kitchen and a hot water tap as well.
- Be careful when turning on the hot water tap - it is instant, boiling water!
- Note: water from the sinks is filtered and safe to drink!
Dining Centers
- Each side of-campus has a dining center where you can use your on-campus dining meal plan.
- To see what is open, visit Food@OSU.
Delivery Options
If it is late at night and you need to order food, here are a few locations you can call or order online and have delivered to your hall:
- Dominos Pizza
- Pizza Hut
- Jimmy John Sandwiches
- There are also two delivery organizations, that can bring you food from other restaurants in Corvallis:
Winter 2018 Orientation Information
- Pathway Orientation: Tuesday, January 2nd, 8:30 AM.
- Check in will be in the ILLC lobby.
- Academic English Orientation: Wednesday, January 3rd, 8:30 AM

Pre-Orientation Events
We have a couple exciting activities for you to meet with new people and have some fun!
- Coffee Corners!
- 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- LLC Lobby (near the Welcome Desk)
- Meet new friends, have some hot drinks and snacks, set up your email and more!
- Corvallis Tours!
- All tours will begin in the ILLC lobby. Please arrive early to sign – up!
- 1st Tour: 9:00 AM
- 2nd Tour: 10:00 AM
- 3rd Tour: 11:00 AM
- Explore Corvallis! We will take you downtown to see all the shops and restaurants. For more trips and activities this term, check out: http://intotrips.corecommerce.com/
- Bring money to shop and eat!
- There are limited spots for each time, but if you miss it, don’t worry! Our team is ready to help you design your own tour!

Emergency Contacts
If you ever need any assistance during orientation:
- INTO OSU Arrivals Phone: (541) 224 - 2964
- INTO OSU Welcome Desk
- Located in the ILLC
- Open from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
If you need any assistance in your residence hall:
- Between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Your Service Center will be open and you can speak to the front desk if you need anything.
- Between 8:00 PM and 8:00 AM
- Each residence hall as staff called Resident Assistants (R.As). If you have any questions about your hall, or if you need anything for your room, talk to them!
- At night, they have a "Duty Phone" that you can call at any time if you need assistnace.
- Even if you are locked out of your room or your building at 2:00 AM, you can call them and they will come help you. Do not feel bad about doing this; they are happy to help!
- Your building's duty phone number is located on the entry doors.
- There is a yellow call box located outside the entry doors. You can use this to call the duty phone number.
- There is also a red button that you can press to call the local campus police.
Any other emergency:
- If there is a medical emergency or you are worried about your safety on-campus, please call 911 immediately.
