International Student Orientation

You should have completed all required New Student steps before Welcome Week begins. The Welcome Week schedule will be emailed to you and displayed on your canvas orientation course. Welcome Week has scheduled events for you to attend before the first day of classes. Example sessions:

  • Meet your advisor
  • Employment Session
  • Discuss Finance accounts
  • Campus Tours
  • Resource Fair
  • OSU On-Campus Housing meeting

INTO OSU Program Info

All programs require multiple Orientation sessions during International Student Orientation.  You should complete all New Student steps and access the online orientation in the weeks before International Student Orientation begins. Scheduled activities will include late testing and registration, informational sessions, campus tours, a resource fair, and more. You should be registered for classes by the end of International Student Orientation. 

English Language Program Details

First day of Summer International Student Orientation: June 18, 2024

Location: Orientation will be in-person at the ILLC building on the Corvallis OSU campus.

Pre-arrival Orientation Course: Access the orientation course at canvas.oregonstate.edu.

International Student Orientation Details: Follow the instructions in your email and the schedule posted on your online canvas orientation course. 

First day of Summer International Student Orientation: June 18, 2024

Location: Orientation will be in-person at the ILLC building on the Corvallis OSU campus.

Pre-arrival Orientation Course: Access the orientation course at canvas.oregonstate.edu.

International Student Orientation Details: Follow the instructions in your email and the schedule posted on your online canvas orientation course. 

First day of Summer International Student Orientation: June 18, 2024

*As International Direct students, you will also be required to attend an online OSU session called START.

What is International Student Orientation?

International Student Orientation is the week before the first day of classes. You should plan on arriving at least one day before the start of International Student Orientation (refer to your program date in the details section above). This is a time to complete requirements, meet staff and other students, and acquaint yourself with campus.

Summer 2024 Resource Fair

Friday, June 21 from 2:30-3:30pm

INTO OSU is hosting a free resource fair at the start of Winter International Student Orientation. Located in the International Living Learning Center First Floor Lobby, the fair will be an opportunity to introduce students to OSU clubs and organizations, local non-profits and groups, as well as vendors committed to helping new international students thrive in the US. 

If you represent a community, group, or business who may be interested in tabling this event, please sign up before June 7th.
